Sunday Chit Chat (:

Hey, everyone! I hope ya’ll are having a great weekend so far! I had a super busy Friday and Saturday, so today, I’m just chillin’ and having a really awesome, really relaxing Sunday! It’s so gorgeous outside, I wish ya’ll could be here with me! And it’s supposed to be in the high 70s/80 and sunny almost all next week… consider me a happy camper. haha I usually don’t post all weekend until Sunday, like I’m doing today, because I’m so busy. But this weekend rounded out the last and final prom weekend for me and I’m officially done taking clients and I’m done with my freelance career (if you wanna read my story and find out why, check it out here:https://psmeganelizabeth.wordpress.com/2014/04/28/exciting-news-2/ ). It’s so bittersweet. I’m so sad to say goodbye to the incredible clients I have, but luckily, I’ve became good friends with many of them, so it won’t be goodbye for long. As sad as I am to be done with my freelance makeup artist career (that I’ve had for quite a few years nonetheless), I couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter in my life! And, of course, I’m excited to take you guys on this journey with me (: That being said, my last weekend doing this couldn’t have been more amazing. I love all my prom girls, but yesterday’s prom was special because it was my boyfriend’s sister’s junior prom and I love her to pieces! Check out how absolutely flawless she looked!

Isn’t her dress just so freakin’ pretty? I looove it. That color is perfect on her! For her makeup, she originally wanted a smokey eye, but after trying out a few different looks on her, we decided that a smokey eye was just too dark for her dress, so we went with something really natural instead. She’s already beautiful to begin with, so she made my job easy!

She got her pictures taken at her boyfriend’s grandparents house before the grand march at her high school. Their house was gorgeous and their backyard was the perfect place for pictures! The backyard runs right up to a lake and and it was beautiful weather, so the pictures turned out perfectly. This is just us on the patio before we got down to the lake!

Meghan and Trevor (: See? I told ya the backyard was gorgeous! Just past this, they have steps leading down to the lake and Trevor’s grandparents had a pontoon boat, jet ski, water slide, and tons of other things down there. If we all weren’t dressed up, it woulda been the perfect day for playing in the lake!

And, of course, we had to get a classic brother/sister prom picture! I love these two to death ❤ Meghan looked absolutely stunning and she was so excited for her first prom. She had so much fun and I can’t wait to do it all over again next year, for her senior prom!

This week, as I mentioned earlier, the weather is supposed to be really nice and I can’t wait to bust out my new maxi dresses and summer clothes, so defiantly be on the lookout for Outfit of the Day posts! I’m thinking about doing a post about summer makeup and I’ve got some Gotta Have It or Live Without It makeup reviews coming up as well. I hope ya’ll enjoyed these prom pictures and I hope it brought you back to your prom day. I think we can all remember how excited we were and how much fun it was. Thanks for hanging out with me today and I’ll talk to ya tomorrow! Happy Sunday!

XOXO, Megan (:

Friday Chit Chat (:

Happy Friday, Everyone! I can’t even begin to tell ya’ll how amazing the weather is here in central Illinois! It’s honestly a little pathetic how happy I am about weather. Hope you guys are having awesome weather too, wherever you are! I took today and this whole weekend off from work to enjoy Easter with my friends and family, so today my boyfriend, Cody, and I just hung around the house and, of course, got outside to enjoy this sunniness! Today’s post isn’t gonna be anything too crazy, I just wanted to share a little bit of my life with ya’ll (: Enjoy!

There’s not much else that I enjoy more than waking up and eating breakfast outside on the patio while watching these two play ball in the yard! Little Grace runs so fast it looks like she’s flying. She’s like Super Dog! Ball is her favorite thing to play and she was absolutely lovin‘ this weather… all the animal were! Cuddles, the cat, is sunbathing behind me haha

After Gracie recovered from playing ball, we took these two fuzz-balls for a walk around the park. Lacie, the little black one, stopped to lick every single person we passed by. Luckily, we live in a neighborhood that loves dogs, so that wasn’t a problem! She was on cloud nine for sure!

While all the animals were sleeping from their exciting morning playin’ around in the sun, we got to cooking! We were following some recipe that we had just pulled up on the Internet and, as we were throwing the ingredients in the bowl, we realized that the recipe made 6 dozen cookies hahah So now we have about 70 cookies and we’re not exactly sure what to do with them all! It took us all afternoon, but they do actually taste really good! Plus, they’re Easter colors!

While Cody was trying to finish homework, I was being my typical annoying self and bugging him (: And, if you’re wondering why Cody has a different shirt on in every single picture, it’s because he spills stuff on himself constantly. Yes, I’m dating a 5 year old. haha

So, that’s what most of my weekends off consist of! While I looove my work and my clients are the greatest people ever, sometimes I just need a few days off to recharge my battery, relax, and have fun. Today was perfect! Hope ya’ll enjoyed, talk to ya tomorrow! Have a great Friday!

XOXO, Megan (:

Sunday Night Chit Chat (:

Hi, Everyone! I hope ya’ll are having a great weekend! I had a busy one and I’ve still got some errands to run after I get this post up, so it’s just gonna be some chit chat again today!

So, in my last chit chat with you guys, I talked about how one of my clients had tried tea tree oil and really enjoyed the results she got. Well, I picked some up myself to try it for ya’ll and my other clients to see if it’s a new product I could recommend! I always, always, always try out new products before recommending them to others… you’re welcome for being the guinea pig! haha Nahh, I love it, of course. I wouldn’t be in the beauty industry otherwise (: Anyway, I tried some later that day after I picked it up and oh my gosh, you guys, it’s amazing. It’s truly one of the best spot treatments I’ve ever tried. All you do is dip a Q-Tip into the tea tree oil and apply that to your breakout. It will be gone by morning! I must warn you though… the stench is almost unbearable. One little dab is enough to smell up your whole house/apartment, so be careful not to spill it anyway! Because that would smell for quite awhile. haha I picked mine up at Walgreens in the first aid section for about $11. The bottle will last for awhile! I recommend getting this if occasional breakouts are a problem for ya (:

You guys are probably gonna get so annoyed with me for always bringin’ this up, but you for sure should go check out http://www.k2avenue.com! They just got another shipment in today and the stuff is adorable. I just placed an order for 2 dresses and one shirt… even though I wanted everything! I’ll post some pictures for ya below, just a taste of what they have! Go get yourself something nice, girls (: Happy shopping!

This week, I’ve got some fun stuff to post for you guys! I did my nails again this weekend with some bright colors and a cool pattern, so I’ll get that on here for ya and then I’ll share my tips on how to achieve the perfect manicure… essential for spring! Be sure to check that out. And, before I sign off for the night, I’m gonna leave ya’ll with a Selfie Sunday picture… had to. hahah

Talk to you guys tomorrow, thanks for chattin’ with me tonight!

XOXO, Megan ❤

Just Some Chit Chat (:

Hi, Everyone! This is just gonna be a really quick post tonight, just catching you guys up on a few things goin’ on with me (:

If ya’ll remember about a week ago, I mentioned in a blog post that my cousin had just started up an online boutique, K2 Avenue. Well, she finally got her website up and running and got her first shipment of clothes in! And, seriously, they’re adorable. I’ve already bought 5 things and she gets new shipments in really often… I’m in trouble. haha If you girls love aztec prints, chevron, bright colors, and cute accessories, you’ll find something you love! Promise! Until April 5th, she’s offering FREE shipping and 10% off, so get your pretty butts over there, check it out, and buy yourself somethin’ cute! You deserve it (:

Photo: We are happy to announce our first promotion! Please share this post, and as soon as we get to 500 likes we will have a giveaway! Get over to our site quick before your size is gone! We've posted new items! Stay tuned for information on a possible upcoming open house also!

Speaking of cute things…. I was on Pinterest (shut it, I know I have a problem. haha), and I stumbled upon this reeeeally cute idea for homemade shoes! Uhmm, yes please! You just pick up a pair of canvas shoes at Walmart, fabric paint, studs, and fabric glue, which seems simple enough. I wish I could show the picture to ya’ll, but when I tried to copy and paste it, something weird happened, so there goes that idea! Anyway, of course, I’ll share the results with you guys! Even if it turns out to be the most horrid thing this world has ever seen.

Another thing I wanted to talk a little bit about was something one of my clients actually told me about. She’s in her early 30s and has struggled with acne since high school. Her breakouts aren’t severe at all, but she consistently has one or two bumps on her gorgeous face and everyone knows one zit is all takes for a mental breakdown sometimes. She was at Walgreens one day and found some tea tree oil, so she bought it just to give it a shot and she loved it! She said it cleared up her problem areas overnight. Anyone involved in the beauty industry has heard of tea tree oil before, but I personally had never tried it myself. Though I’ve wanted to! I’m gonna go out and pick some up tomorrow and give it a go. I just have one minor breakout on my chin right now that’s not really a problem at all, but I love me some new skincare products, so obviously, I’m gonna try it. haha If any of ya’ll have tried this yourself, let me know whatcha think! And, as always, I will have a review up about it as soon as I can (:

I’ve got some new reviews coming up and I wanna talk to you guys about some skincare lines as well, so stay tuned for that. That’s it for now, told ya it was gonna be short and sweet tonight! Thanks for hangin’ out with me for a little bit!

XOXO, Megan (:
